Composing MessagesIf you have already created a Message Template and you have added email addresses to an Address List, then you may be ready to compose a message. To compose a message click the 'Compose Message' option from the menu bar above. Composing a message is much like composing a Message Template but it is important to remember that a message will appear INSIDE a Message Template, specifically at the location where you placed the content Place-Holder $MessageBody$. However, you can use any of the same content Place-Holders that you were able to use in the template designer. The list of available content Place-Holders is as follows:
It is important that you have at least one instance of the content Place-Holder $UnsubscribeLink$ in either the message template or the message itself. This is important to identify your email message as legitimate bulk mail as opposed to unsolicited bulk mail. It is also required for you to include this unsubscribe link in order for you to be in compliance with the FlowMail terms of service. It is also necessary to have at least one instance of the content Place-Holder $Tracker$ if you wish to be able to track who has viewed your email message, when it was viewed and from where, geographicaly.
ImagesWhen you are creating or editing a message, you will notice there is an 'Image Library' on the right side of the page. This is for adding logos, photos, and other images to your message. To upload an image, click the 'Upload New' link and select an image from your computer to upload. Once the images has been uploaded it should appear in the Image Library. To place one of these images into your template, simply place your cursor at the place you would like it inserted, and then click the image of your choice. Once an image is inserted, you can resize it by dragging the 'handles' at the corners of the image, or you can right-click the image for more advaced options. Double SpacingWhen you only want to put a single space in your mail message: IE Instead of LINE 1 LINE 2 Hold down the Shift button as you hit the enter key and it will put a single line break. |
